Fun lunch

This morning we took the kids on a bit of a drive. We went to our favorite orchard just north of Egg Harbor and bought some dried cherries to make oatmeal cookies and some cherry salsa. The kids love the orchard's store because it sets out a lot of samples - cherry strudel, cherry doughnuts, apple cider pops, lots of dips, pretzels, jams. Then we drove over to the lake side of the county and tried to get the kids picture along Lake Michigan in Bailey's Harbor. It was a beautiful day but apparently too bright for my kids - Andy must have taken 30 shots of them and someone has their eyes closed in just about all of them. At least L and B had fun playing on the rocks.

For lunch we went to PC Junction, the kids' favorite restaurant because a train delivers drinks and food to those sitting at the counter. The kids don't mind waiting to get seated because they have free go-karts for the kids to ride through the woods. It keeps them occupied. Here's B waiting in the shade with me for our reservation to be called:

And, lucky me, I got to sit at the counter. Maybe they knew it was my birthday? Andy had to sit behind us. I have to say, it was kind of fun sitting at the counter.

We played a quick round of mini-golf at Red Putter in the afternoon. E got three holes-in-one; L got one. E won the round with a 43. Par was 42. Show-off! We had to leave in a hurry because Andy, E and B ... you'll have to read about it in the next post.
