Early present

L slept over at Grandma Barbara's house last night. It's been a while since she's been there and she said they had a great time playing games and snacking. Today, L walked to Pumpkin Moon, one of her favorite stores that happens to be near grandma's house, and bought herself an early birthday present from grandma - a stuffed Totoro. She was so happy because she said it was the last one they had in stock. She's even taking it to bed tonight. In the picture, she's drinking a free Slurpee from 7-Eleven because it was free Slurpee day.

E was home from work today and decided to bake my belated birthday cake - an angel food cake. Confetti angel food cake is my favorite, but for some reason all we had in the pantry was a white angel food cake mix. E improvised and mixed in the sprinkles that were supposed to go on the frosting in the cake batter, and it worked out great. She frosted it lightly because we didn't want it to be too sweet. She did a great job on her first-ever angel food cake. I think she should bake my cake every year.
