E starts work

E went in for her Microsoft orientation yesterday, learning about the job and benefits and having lunch with her manager, the same manager she had last year as an intern. She said it only took 15 minutes to drive there and she didn't take the expressway. She said it was raining (it is Seattle) so no one got their photo taken in front of the Microsoft sign like she did last summer. Today was her first "real" day of work.

In her last week of leisure before she started work today, she's been working on her quilt blocks. With these cut out, she's got about 60 now.

Her driver's license arrived in the mail Friday. They told her not to smile; they want it to look like a passport picture.

Saturday night E sent me this picture of a quinoa salad she made. She said she made the dressing with a little too much lemon but otherwise, it was tasty.
