L started summer school today. She's taking health and art foundations. She said she had a good day. They didn't do much besides get their IDs and the class syllabus. Things should pick up pretty soon.
And in Japan, sensei sent out her first trip email to parents today. The bus situation sounded horrendous. Apparently, B was at the hotel, but picked up by his family before he could stay the night. She said, "Their sweet host families just couldn't wait to meet them!" She wrote about what each of the students had been doing since they arrived. "B went to a restaurant and played a baseball game with his host father and brother. I talked to his mother yesterday when they came to get his bike at school. She said that B was so sweet and he always tries to speak in Japanese even when the family asks him questions in English. Yay, B!"
