The motto in our house is that if extra credit is offered, you ought to take advantage of it. L was a bit slow to start her homework last night but when she said she could get extra credit for a humanities project, I told her to go for it. You never know when a couple extra points could make the difference in a final grade. The project was to make a coffin for a hotdog she's been mummifying in class as part of their study of Egypt. L is so creative and once I found a box for her to get started with, she was off and running with ideas. It turned out so cute. I love the way she put the Egyptian hotdog on the top of the coffin.
