Wasps’ nest

I put the flag out yesterday morning for the Fourth of July in the morning, totally oblivious to this wasps' nest Andy found later that day. (The Ring video of him discovering the nest is pretty funny - pure surprise followed by a "Holy crap."). Needless to say, the flag will stay out there until the wasps are gone. Andy went to Walgreens to see what kind of wasp killer he could find so he can spray the nest at dawn or dusk, according to what we've found online. We did not sit on the front steps to watch neighbors shoot off fireworks like we usually do.

Back from Walgreens, he put on jeans, a coat with his hood up and went outside to the spray the nest. He needs to let it sit for 24 hours so he might try to knock it down tonight.

Edited to add - Andy knocked it down this morning using the flag pole. He called me outside to look at the inside of the nest. Quite a work of art. Let's hope they don't rebuild.
