Our neighborhood brew pub celebrated its eighth anniversary yesterday so Andy and I were going over to have a celebratory drink. He put the message out to his golfing buddies who live nearby and we ended up taking up a corner of the bar. They're an interesting group. I'm glad some wives came along.
The bar was pretty crowded. They had free pretzels (shaped like the number 8) and some pasta. We had a couple of drinks and when we went to check out our neighbor was behind the bar and said he'd pay for some of our drinks. Thanks, neighbor! We think he's their brewmaster, not typically working the bar.
And when you paid your bill you got to shake the Magic 8 Ball for a prize. Andy won a $20 gift certificate!
