Hilton Head Day 1

We left O'Hare early this morning to fly to Charleston, S.C., then drive two hours to Disney's resort on Hilton Head Island. We were able to get the kids into the United Club for breakfast but they didn't have the good, hot breakfast Andy and I had when we left for Hawaii. Maybe because they don't do that on the weekend? Not sure. The drive to Hilton Head was nice. Lots of tall sea pine trees. We were surprised at how wooded it is. Big oak trees with moss hanging on them, sea pines and palmetto trees.

The buildings were made to look like fishing cabins. We were in Room 2911.

The kitchen area.

L and E's room.

The master suite.

The living room and B's pullout sofa sleeper. We offered to let him switch to a bed for a few nights and have one of the girls on the sofa sleeper, but he said he was fine.

The view outside our room. Andy tried out the hammock for a quick nap.

We spent the afternoon getting acquainted with the resort and figuring out where everything was. We walked along the pier to a fishing area.

Watched a nice sunset.

Then went grocery shopping and to a nearby restaurant to eat. L had their signature "weggie."
