It seems the best way to get around Hilton Head is to rent bicycles. We went out this morning and rented five for the week, about $25 each. They delivered the bikes to our resort and will pick them up after we leave. L was just getting on hers when she tripped on another bike, fell (very slowly) to the ground and scraped her elbow. She was OK though so we rode two miles to the beach. It was the first time I'd been on a bike in years.
It's very hot and very humid so after the ride, we got some drinks at the Disney Beach House.
L and B opted for the Mickey Mouse snow cone. Andy and I tried the margaritas.

When we were sufficiently cooled off, we went down the beach on the Altantic Ocean. B ended up riding his bike there about every day without us and walking along the beach.
The beach is nice, but without chairs or umbrellas, it's really hot. Did I mention how humid South Carolina is? I prefer the pool and the shade.
This big blue heron is in a tree outside our room just about every day of our trip. We think he's sitting there to hunt a fish in the marshy area.
