Test day for B

This has been B's routine since returning from college. He gets up, makes a big breakfast, then starts studying for his first actuarial exam. The exam was today and he passed! Yay, B! He'll get the official results in a couple of months, but he found out at the test that he passed!

The youth group was making doughnuts this morning at the Farmers Market for E went in early (abou 2:30 a.m.) with Andy to work the first shift. She's home and tired, of course. (Andy's been sleeping a lot too.)

These are some pictures L sent from Japan. This is her friend, A, on the plane to Tokyo.

I'm pretty sure these two were taken in the Tokyo Narita Airport. From there, they took a bus ride to another airport for the flight to Akita.

And this is that bus ride. Last she texted me they were getting ready to board the plane for Akita. A while later, sensei emailed her first trip update:

Hello everyone!

After a lot of travel, we finally arrived!!! It is about 10:30 p.m. Japan time now and everyone is off with their families!

Students were great all the way. Flight attendants came to talk to us to compliment our students` politeness and quietness during the flight. They all said that they couldn't believe how quiet and respectful our students were! Yay!

They all helped each other with the luggages, so all the transitions went smoothly too. ... We were all tired but many students were lively and excited on the final bus from Akita airport to Noshiro city ... until ... we saw the high school ... and then they all became very nervous and quiet ... but again, "Okay it's dark and they can't even see you so good luck, bye" ... and off they went!! I am sure that they are suffering right about now, but it's okay!

Tomorrow is a rest day and I will see the kids on Monday morning, so I will get their stories and report back to you then! ... Everything is on track. Everyone is tired but healthy.
