Our early June garden

These pretty yellow flowers popped up in our yard today. I'm not sure what they are, but I like them.

My new flower pot is working out well.

These are the seeds from the wedding that I planted in our old Weber grill.

Pretty purple flowers. I should know what these are called but can't recall.

We bought this plant on clearance at Lowe's. It grows, then seems to die, then flowers. Odd little plant.

Allison came over this morning and brought us doughnuts and iced coffees to tell L goodbye before her trip. L showed her the yen and her passport. Of course, this evening, we couldn't find it. Talk about panicking! We searched the house and got Mayu out of her room to help. We looked everywhere. She finally found it - where we had been keeping it - it just fell back farther than we had anticipated.

This afternoon, L, her friend R from church and Mayu went downtown on the El by themselves and shopped at Michigan Avenue. Tonight she's planning a sleepover with another friend she just has to see before leaving.
