Cindy and I went downtown on the L with Andy with morning to do some (more) shopping. Here she is at Macy's looking at their animated windows.
Look who's on Santa's nice list!
We had to go to Macy's seventh floor to see the tree in the Walnut Room.
We were at the Christkindlmarket just before it opened at 11 a.m.
It was surprisingly crowded but Cindy got her hot spiced wine, cute souvenir mug and a pretzel.
It started to snow after I picked the girls up from school. I didn't even know it was snowing until Andy came home from work covered in snow. We took the girls downtown with us for their chance to see the market and get hot chocolate. It was wet downtown, but not as crowded as it was that morning. I think it's a good thing to go when the weather is not ideal.
After spending about an hour at the Christkindlmarket, we went to Pizzeria Due. We were one of the few customers in the restaurant. It was so slow that the waiter pulled up a chair and started talking to us, asking what we had been doing that day, etc.
Mayu likes Chicago's deep-dish pizza!
