Graduation day!!!

We drove to Champaign this morning for E's graduation! Seems hard to believe it's been four and a half years since she started college! All her hard work paid off. We couldn't be prouder. We walked around campus and took pictures in some of her class buildings. A lot of other grads were doing the same thing with their families.

Photo with the siblings.

We had to get in line for pictures in front of the Alma Mater statue. The good thing about graduating in December was that the line was short. It winds around a bit in May. And we lucked out that the weather was in the high 40s and no wind or snow. Perfect!

Here's our graduate!

Obligatory picture with the parents who financed this educational endeavor.

And we couldn't let the day go by without a goofy shot of her posing like a statue on the engineering quad.

Here she is walking into graduation! L yelled her name so she'd turned and looked at us.

Graduation for the Engineering College was held in Krannert Hall. We were amazed by how few female graduates there were and how many Asian students there were.

Post-ceremony selfie with mom.

And she has the diploma case ... with a welcome note to the Alumni Association. The diploma will arrive in the mail in a few months.

After the ceremony, we met up with her boyfriend Danny and drove to Oishi, a Japanese hibachi restaurant, for dinner. They don't take reservations on the weekends but we were seated in about five minutes. The chef put on quite a show.
