Last magical day

Cindy was hankering for this hotdog with macaroni and cheese on it all week. I don't think she would have left if she didn't get to try it. Today was our last day at Disney so she split it with Allison and L.

After we checked out of the resort and stowed our bags for the day, everyone was on their own. Andy and I spent most of the day in Epcot, dodging raindrops.

Since it was raining, we got a margarita and went inside the Mexico pavilion. We found a seat right next to where Donald Duck was posing for photographs. We were too tired to wait in line to have our picture taken with him so this will do.

This is inside a tequila bar in the Mexico pavilion that we never knew existed. We thought it was just a walk-up bar. Who knew there was a little restaurant inside?

Andy tries a blood orange margarita and we ordered chips and salsa.

We all met back at the Contemporary to wait for the bus to take us to the airport. This picture pretty much sums up all of us ... very tired.

Highlights and lessons learned on our Disney trip:

1. E went on Space Mountain and the Rock 'n' Roll Roller Coaster for the first time. She may have even opened her eyes. We know she screamed.
2. Leave more time than anticipated for going through security at Midway even if you're leaving early in the morning.
3. Any line Andy gets in will come to an immediate stop.
4. Buy Band-Aids before you go. You will need them.
5. Andy logged more than 20,000 steps on his Fitbit one day. That's a lot of walking.
6. E loves to lead the way.
7. Two snack items a day is too many.
8. Cheri still hates Typhoon Lagoon.
9. Being called "princess" never gets old.
10. B gave Cindy the ride of her life in the teacups. She wanted to spin and boy did she.
11. Don't wrap a cooling towel around your neck if you're wearing a dark shirt or it will appear as if you're lactating. Of course, if it's too hot, who cares?
12. Coins found on the ground are too hot to be picked up.
13. No-show socks or water shoes in the water parks are a good idea.
14. We need to plan a family movie night so Allison can watch "The Incredibles."
15. It would have been nice to have earlier dinner reservations so we could enjoy more time at night in the parks. Maybe next time.
16. L is always good for a laugh.
17. The Magic Kingdom's new fireworks show with images displayed on Cinderella's castle is definitely worth braving the heat and crowd to see.
18. B's bag was the first one off the plane and coming onto the luggage carousel when we arrived at Midway.
