A little late, but L's birthday card from sensei arrived! She's so good about sending cards to all of her students. I knew it was from sensei when I saw the handwriting on the envelope; L didn't realize it until she opened it and it was written in Japanese. Sensei told her to continue trying new foods (in preparation for L's trip to Japan hopefully next summer) and to stay away from Starbucks. Of course, sensei included a picture of her favorite movie star, Brad Pitt.
