Avatar rides!

We were up early today to go to Animal Kingdom for the new Avatar rides. We got there pretty soon after the park opened, and stood in line for the Flight of Passage ride. We stood in line for about an hour and a half, in the heat. Here are a couple of pictures of the Pandora land that was created at Animal Kingdom for the new rides.

The wait was so long, but well worth it once we were done with the ride.

Here's Andy and B looking at the display as we wound our way through line.

This Avatar was pretty neat to see.

Here I am with B, happy to be waiting indoors for the ride and out of the heat. We had a fast pass for the Navi River Ride so our wait was shorter for that. We all agreed the Flight of Passage banshee ride was better than the river ride, but the river ride was good. Probably would have been a good idea to do the river ride first.

That night we were back at Epcot for dinner at the Japanese restaurant, Teppan Edo. They cooked the food in front of us and it was really good. It was the first time we had eaten there. I think we'll be back. Here the chef is making Olad, the snowman from Frozen, out of an onion.

B teaches Aunt Allison how to use her chopsticks to eat her steak. Fortunately, they gave us silverware too.

Andy took this nice picture of the Japanese pavilion as we were leaving.
