L has been thinking up ways to earn money for an upcoming anime convention she wants to attend with her friends. She gathered bags of clothes from her room that she plans on selling at a garage sale. She brought this pair of Dr. Martens boots home at the end of eighth grade. They were in the lost and found for almost the entire year and her teacher let her take them on the last day of school since they weren't claimed. Unfortunately, they're size 9 and L's foot is a little bigger than that so they never fit and she never wore them. Since they're practically brand new and retail for $135, L convinced me to offer them on a local Facebook garage sale site. We asked $60 for them and within two minutes someone said they'd buy them ... and it was a woman whose daughter was in preschool with L!
