Andy and I went to church Saturday afternoon to help our friend, Maureen, set up for the Ice Cream Social. She comes up with the cutest table decorations. (The "vases" are soda cans wrapped in music sheets. So creative.) The hymnal represented the Hymn Sing that happened during worship on Sunday. Both were 150th anniversary events.
A good overview of the church as we had the Hymn Sing yesterday. The music director took the suggested songs and incorporated them throughout the service.
And her son surprised us by visiting from France to play some of the songs. He's incredible and plays piano for a living. We saw him perform at Fitzgerald's last year.
After worship, everyone went downstairs for ice cream.
We had a good turnout.
