Halloween

L and two of her friends, N and B, came over after school yesterday to get their Halloween costumes on. L wore a bloody dress she bought last year, leggings and her homecoming shoes. They met another friend on Lake Street, had dinner and went to see "Happy Death Day" at the theater. L said it was scary - just what she wanted. Mayu was at a party at a friend's house so Andy and I went out to dinner. There was only an hour or so left of official trick-or-treating time when we left the house.

But in the time we were home, we only had one trick-or-treater. The high temperature for the day was 40 so it was pretty cold to be going door to door hoping to get a small piece of candy. The news said it was coldest Halloween in 21 years. That means I over-bought candy this year.
