Tonight we took the girls to see "School of Rock," a musical at the Cadillac Palace in downtown Chicago. Before the show, we had dinner at Beatrix. It's where Andy won a gift certificate earlier this year and this was the perfect opportunity to use it.
I had the Pot Roast Filet Mignon which was very good. Andy had the Roasted Chicken with Apple Cider and Mustard Au Jus, Mayu had a Parmesan crusted chicken with roasted asparagus, and L had the burger. We all enjoyed our meal and Mayu finished L's fries.
The show was a lot of un. I really like the movie and wasn't sure I'd like the musical because Jack Black is so good in the movie. However, a friend from church said the lead performer was a "Jack Black clone" so we decided to check it out for ourselves. She was right, and the child performers were incredible.
We were in the second row on the floor - up close and personal. We were even able to peek into the orchestra pit.
