I went to Irving to pick up the yearbooks today - the last yearbook I expect to ever work on. The yearbook company provides about eight covers to choose from and usually I let the fifth-graders vote on their choice of three or four that I like. This year I let L choose it (one perk of being the adviser!) I've been working with a first-grader's mom who will be taking over the yearbook next year as L heads into middle school. I think this was my seventh year as Irving's yearbook adviser and I worked on the book two years before that as a staff member. It's time to pass the torch.
