Snoqualmie Falls

My last full day in Washington visiting E and today she took me to Snoqualmie Falls.

We had great views of the Cascade Mountains on the drive to the falls.

The mountains are so distracting to me as a flatlander. Good thing I wasn’t driving.

View of the top of the falls ...

And the view of the entire falls a little farther down the walkway.

E didn’t want to pose for this picture but I convinced her. It’s of an electric turbine. The falls produce electricity for the surrounding area.

We stopped on the way to the falls at a park in Issaquah to eat lunch. I noticed all the oddly, tilted trash cans and and recycling bins. On further inspection, I saw they were designed to keep bears out. Oh, my!
