New roof: Day 2

This was the progress at the end of Day 1 yesterday. The top is the new color of shingle we chose, which the contractor said is the most popular shade (who knew?), compared to the dark brown we had that was still on the front of the house. We're hoping the lighter shade gives a few more options when trying to choose stucco that will match the shingles and our dark brown trim. Because if we change the trim color we'd have to replace the gutters ... and we really don't want more projects.

This was our back yard this morning. The roofers were on top of the house but we could see their shadows on the garage roof. Kind of neat.

L had her friend, A, over this afternoon to help her with her mask business. She bought our her old partner and is now a solo operation. That means she's recruiting other friends to "volunteer." They went to deliver some masks and were surprised to discover that Schubert had hopped in the car. They said he was good on the trip to River Forest and back. He was sitting in the back seat and then crawled into A's lap. They brought him home safely.

Then L's other friend, A, joined the party. Here they are watching "Orange is the New Black" and working on masks.
