It's a doll
We never know what donations the Econ Shop's toy room is going to receive and we recently received a bunch of lifesize baby dolls. They feel like babies and are heavy like babies. I had to take a picture of this one because it looked so real, especially with that hair and those eyelashes. We had it lying in a crib during today's sale and it startled quite a few customers who thought we (or a shopper) had put our baby down and walked away. We gave it to a police officer to hold and he gave it back to us ... rather quickly. It's so realistic it's creepy. Then I read this afternoon that dementia patients treat these dolls as real babies. Maybe if we don't have any shoppers (we did sell one during my morning shift) who buy them maybe we can donate them to a local nursing home. We're trying to sell it for $30 and online they cost around $150 new, though we haven't been able to figure out what brand it is.
