Easter morning

So last year I made the mistake of not making Easter baskets for the kids. Then L got a great idea to make us cards, so we felt guilty and got her some Easter candy before she woke up. Fast forward to this year when I asked the kids if they all have to have Easter baskets, or if I should make one for L since she's the youngest and the only one who really likes candy. E promptly answered, "She's the only one who got on last year." What a memory that girl has. Anyway, they all got very small Easter baskets this morning.

Andy and B left early this morning to go to church to help another member make pancakes for the Easter potluck breakfast. Andy and our friend, N, started the pancake tradition in 2010 and B joined for the first time in 2012. He looks so young (and short)! I made a hashbrown and ham casserole (no eggs) since a lot of people seem to bring egg dishes. L was disappointed there was no bacon, sausage or bagels. Maybe next year.

The kids had an Easter egg hunt after breakfast.

At the end of the Easter service, the congregation is invited to go up with the choir and sing the "Hallelujah Chorus." We enjoy it from our seats in the pews.
