Since E got back from Washington, D.C., she's been wanting to buy some soapstone that she could carve. I'm not sure what the connection between Washington and soapstone is, but today we went out to Hobby Lobby (she drove there) and found a kit that had the soapstone, a tool to carve the stone and some steel wool to polish it. She sat in the back yard and carved for probably a couple of hours before she brought it inside and polished it. It's a bear. Now she wants to buy more.
