Day in Our Village
Today was the annual Day in Our Village. It's not a terribly exciting event, but the nearby park does have a "carnival" of sorts for kids. L went there with her friend, J. L had slept over at J's house and we picked L up at the park. L won two stuffed rabbits, a stuffed monkey, lots of lollipops and a few rubber ducks and pinwheels. She had a lot of fun for the short while she was there.
The Park District didn't have the hand-cranked trains working, so they let kids hop around on these inflatable horses instead. L just had to try it.
B came by the park long enough to declare it lame, bought a few slices of pizza and headed home. E was home "studying" for finals. When we got home she was watching "Touch" on TV. After the park, we had to swing by J's house to pick up L's luggage from the sleepover. She had a wagon full of stuff. You would have thought she was moving in. L does not travel lightly.
