Andy and I drove up to Deerfield yesterday afternoon for his friend M's memorial party. He passed away suddenly Friday night after surgery and being in the hospital for about a week. He was 52. Andy and M went to law school together and became good friends years later when they worked together. They'd talk a lot on the phone - about everything. The memorial party was at his sister's house.
Because of Covid the celebration was in the back yard. There's a nice pool, hot tub, fire pit area and tennis court. Wow.
Tequila shots ready for the taking and a fully stocked bar. It was a nice party, just as M requested.
It was the first memorial service/wake/funeral I had ever been to with valet parking.
There was food but we came home and ate out.
