Party Friday

Allison, L and I met up with Julie at LaGrange's craft show this morning. Here's Allison modeling a Disney bow that she and L both bought for our trip next month.

I bought a little cup and saucer bird feeder and one of these ice scoops. I've been wanting an ice scoop (because tongs don't work too well) and you can't tell on Amazon how big they are. This one should work well.

We were going to pick up L's Naperville friends, T and J, from the Riverside Metra station but then we realized the train stopped in LaGrange right by the craft show so we picked them up there. They're in town for L's early birthday party tonight.

L made these party favors from little buckets she bought for 10 cents each at the Party City that was closing. She painted each one, pick a name sticker on it for each of her friends, and filled it with candy and treats. It was quite a project.

AFter picking up J and T, we stopped at the bakery to pick up the cookies for L's party. She said she wanted cookies rather than a cake so we ordered five sprinkle cookies and five M&M cookies. One of hte sprinkle cookies broke when I was putting it on the plate but L stacked it anyway so it would look fine in the picture. We bought a little bundt cake at the craft fair so I'd have a place to put the "17" candle.

Make a wish!

The gang's all here. That's a lot of kids for a get-together that she kept telling me wasn't going to be a party.
