Party time!

Darla was up early to go to her subdivisions' clubhouse where she and her brother were setting up for the party. I got up, had some coffee and watched cardinals play in the snow before I went over. At one time I counted 12 cardinals in her yard. So beautiful. Also saw a red-headed woodpecker and a bluejay.

My job of the morning was creating this crepe paper background to hide a map of the subdivision. This was the "memories" table with pictures of her mom through the years and a slide show.

And this was the food table! So pretty.

We were so happy with how the cake, cupcakes and cookies looked.

And more food!

My fabulous host and hostess for the weekend.

The party was a surprise. Darla had told her mom they had scheduled a family photo in the clubhouse so she was thoroughly surprised to get there and see so many people. Unfortunately, it snowed that morning and the roads were slick so that kept some people home, but the turnout was good.

A kiss for mom. I did end up taking family photos and candids throughout the party.

After everything was cleaned up (it was a lot quicker taking things down than putting them up), we went into Staunton for dinner at a Mexican restaurant and a celebratory margarita. The party was a success!
