103 stories up

Tonight when Andy got home from work we took Takako downtown to the Willis/Sears Tower. The express elevator wasn't working, so there was a bit of a line, which seemed odd on a Thursday night. We had to take one elevator to the 102 floor, then get in another elevator to go to the 103rd floor's observation deck. The line to go back down was really long.

Here are B and Takako on the glass ledge that lets you stand "outside" the tower and look down on the traffic.

Sitting on the ledge.

L joins them on the ledge.

Fortunately, we were there on a clear night. The funniest part of the night was when a group of people got off the elevator, one girl said something and another girl said, "I think that's Italian for 'I'm nervous.'" L got a kick out of that.
