L had a big project in math due this morning. She had to survey 40 people about a worldwide-type issue and then figure out the probability of the answers and make graphs, etc. She had the project since Monday and spent a good portion of Wednesday's golf party asking other party-goers for their answers. She was all prepared to finish the project last night, but when she came home from play practice with her foot wrapped like this -
- I knew it was going to be a long night. My little drama queen cut her foot while dancing barefoot on the stage. They bandaged it up for her, but the math project was too much to bear. She also couldn't find the answers to the survey from 20 people (she got one list of 20 done at the party but the sheet on which she recorded answers from her classmates went missing). So Andy created an Excel sheet of the response sheet and called a few relatives and friends so she'd have some data to work with. E and B both took turns trying to explain experimental and theoretical probability to her.
L slugged her way through the assignment and got everything she needed on the board, even decorating it a bit. Let's hope it gets a decent grade. It was a looong evening.
And in true L fashion, she re-bandaged her foot this morning before heading off to school, limping. She has a good story to tell her friends.
