L convinced me to buy her these colorful cheetah print pajamas today while shopping at Target. She's been wanting a pair of pajamas with feet and even though they all get new pajamas as one of their presents on Christmas Eve, she just couldn't wait that long. She put them on as soon as we got home from the store. At least she'll be warm tonight.
Andy came home to find his new floor mats for the Buick sitting on the porch. He's been eyeing them since he bought the Enclave. He found a company, WeatherTech, that makes plastic floormats that fit pretty much over the entire carpet. It's going to help keep the car clean when it starts to snow. Andy also bought himself a nice brown suit at Von Maur this morning. See? Kind of like Christmas in November. I suppose all those Christmas decorations the stores have out do make you want to shop!
E got a postcard in the mail from the district superintendent, congratulating her on the recent band concert. "I was incredibly impressed by the energy, enthusiasm and level of preparedness you and your classmates exhibited during the performance. Thank you for sharing your talent and love of music with the Oak Park community," it said. I'm sure the dozens of other kids who participated in the concert received a postcard too, but it's a nice gesture. The journalist in me suspects the postcard is connected to the upcoming referendum the district is considering.
