Bainbridge Island

We were up early yesterday. Danny drove us into to Seattle to catch the auto ferry to Brainbridge Island.
That's his silver car. These ferries are part of the public transportation system and hold 202 vehicles and 2,499 passengers.
Perfect weather.
Inside. So many places to sit.
Andy. I asked him to do the pose from "Titanic." Close enough.
A good warning.
On the island we drove around and explored their quaint downtown. It reminded 7s a lot of Door County, Wis. Found this UCC church...
and an outdoor quilt show.
It gave E a lot of ideas for future projects.
Lunch at Hammy Burgers, supposedly the best burgers on the island. They were very good.
We explored a couple of parks before getting on the ferry and going back to Seattle.
The people on this boat were waving at us so we waved back.
Enjoying the view.
The return ferry was the same size as the one that took us over. Here's Andy exploring the cafe that wasn't open on the trip to the island.
Coming into Seattle. On the drive back to E's condo we could see the smoke from the wildfires out to the east.
