I was so surprised to see the monarch emerging from its pupa this morning. I did a little grocery shopping and came home to realize it was stuck in the pupa. Apparently it shouldn't take them more than 15 minutes to emerge (hooe that was correct information) and start hanging to dry their wings. I tried to free it from the pupa but had no luck.
I set it on our coneflowers but with its wings unable to dry it wasn't doing well.
