Farmers Market meet-up

Today we had our preschool class meet us at the Farmers Market to shop for fall vegetables we'll be using in class this week. These farmers told us about their farm in Wisconsin and gave the class three pumpkins. The one in the Pioneer hat said he lives on a road named after his family. Hmmm, just like my family has a road named after them.

The teacher picks out the pumpkins.

This farmer also spoke to the kids and gave us lots of apples and apple cider.

We sliced up a couple of the apples to eat with donuts once the kids and their parents came into the classroom after shopping. They munched on church doughnuts Andy brought home for me. The kids agreed that the powdered sugar donuts are their favorite.

Our classroom bounty - tomatoes, corn, green beans, cider, carrots, lettuce and of course, the pumpkins.
