Busy Saturday

Crazy, busy Saturday. E came home from Orlando. She took an Uber home from the airport, was home a while and then I dropped her off at the El station to get downtown to take the train back to Champaign. Muffles tried to get a little love in while she was here.

Allison came over to give L a trim on the undercut of her hair ...

... it looks good!

I met Pioneer friends at the Hofbrauhaus in Rosemont for dinner. I had the grilled chicken sandwich. It was OK but prices were high. I think the sandwich was $15.

Here we are! (I loved the deer heads on the walls). It was a good thing Cristel made a reservation for us. They were turning away walk-ins at the door. Full capacity for Oktoberfest.

The alphorn player came to our table.

Sometimes you just have to stand on the bench and sing along. The band was good. It was a fun night, especially singing "Sweet Caroline," but it was kind of loud in there. It was really hard to hear each other from across the table.

Cristel insisted on this picture. Brett declined.

While I was out, L was with her Japanese class at a concert. They stopped at an Asian store in the city and she stocked up. Can't wait to try the tiramisu Oreo thins.
