This is what it looks like when you're in the process of receiving a foot-plus of snow. These were taken on our drive to church and it's continued to snow all day.
L was a reader in church today before the scripture was read. She got several compliments on being a clear, loud speaker.
After she did her reading, she left to find E, B and Ruri, who were elsewhere in the church playing Uno. When we took Ai to church, she fell asleep, and since it was communion I thought it would be too long of service to make Ruri sit through. Our plans for after church were to drive to Yorktown Mall, but since it was still snowing and the streets weren't really clear, we went to North Riverside Mall instead. Then we tried to get a hamburger meal at Red Robin, but it was closed because of the storm-turned-blizzard. So we drove to Chili's - it was closed too. We drove home and ordered a thin pizza, a change from the other day's deep-dish.
The girls also baked a chocolate cake for dessert and decorated it for Super Bowl XLIX.
