Japanese dinner

Ruri made us dinner last night. It was a cabbage pancake with a thin pork chop - there's a Japanese name for it, but I can't remember it. Also, soup with udon noodles. It was very good. We're not sushi eaters, so we were happy she made us a meal that wasn't sushi.

Here she is making the cabbage pancakes.

She even got B to help cook the meat. He's pretty handy in the kitchen.

Andy is so happy it's not sushi.

B helps himself to more udon noodles. He was doing well with the chopsticks Ruri brought us too. I just can't work them at all.

L tried the chopsticks and couldn't really master it either. Ruri kept laughing at her. It took a lot of effort for her to get this piece of pork near her mouth with the chopsticks.

This is the mix Ruri used in the cabbage pancakes. The recipe is on the front of the package - cabbage, eggs, the mix, pork and sauce. We all liked it.
