Andy and I cooked a bunch of hotdogs, wrapped them in foil and headed to church for the annual Fourth of July fireworks and picnic. B and E played badminton. I played a bit of Baggo with B and L played with her friend N's rocket in the parking lot. The fireworks are shot off next door at the high school, so we get a great view from the church lawn. Unfortunately, B and I decided it was just too hot to sit and wait for the show to begin so Andy brought us home early. He stayed with L and E.
The high temperatue in Chicago of 102 degrees tied the record high temperature for July 4th set in 1911.
