Today was hat day at Irving. L took two hats - a set of smiley face antennas and a glittery Santa hat. She wore the smiley faces till lunchtime, then switched to the Santa hat. Students had to donate $1 to wear a hat for the day. The student council is then going to donate the proceeds to cancer research. I went over to the school to get a few pictures of crazy hats for the yearbook and bumped into L as she was coming out of the restroom.
