L's teacher sent this home last week with "Great poem!" written on it. I'm not a fourth-grade teacher so I'll take her word for it that it's decent work for a fourth-grader.
Halloween is a nice time,
I walk around and I see scary circus clowns.
I see costumes fluffy as clouds.
It's fun to eat so much candy!
All day I see freaky witches with skin as green as grass.
Vampires hissing, werewolves howling.
It's fun all day with everyone yelling
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
