Parade

We woke up early this morning and drove to the "quiet side" of Door County (the Lake Michigan side) to see the 10 a.m. Fourth of July Parade in Baileys Harbor. The kids got lots of candy and were enjoying the parade until water balloon fights broke out between people on some of the floats and a group of kids in a building behind where we were sitting. I'm not sure why people on the floats would arm themselves with water balloons, but apparently it has something to do with past parade experiences. We didn't get too wet and the water felt kind of refreshing on the hot day.

Egg Harbor had its parade at 1 p.m. that afternoon, but we skipped in and stayed in the pool instead.
