Girls’ day out

Look who's home for Christmas! D dropped her off Sunday afternoon and Monday she had a hair and nail appointment at Oakbrook Mall. She bribed me into going along by buying me a cup of coffee at Dunkin'.
My first purchase of the day was this adorable $6.99 crockpot (on sale from $19.99). Have to get this stuff out of the store before Christmas, I suppose. And I make meatballs every year so it will get used. I joked that B could take it to his apartment but he'd have to bring it back for every holiday. It would enseure that he'd come home.
One shop was set up outside at the mall and giving away hot chocolate. They were switching out the hot chocolate containers when I walked by but I got a yummy cookie.
Look how happy E is with her Mr. Sub Italian sandwich (and look at those nails!). She claims there is no good Italian subs in the whole Seattle area.
We're expecting 17 people for Christmas dinner so I counted the china plates to see if the kids' table gets china or something else. I counted 18 plates but one is chipped and cracked so it has to be tossed out. Andy and I will be on the lookout for a couple more of my Noritake Tahoe pattern at the thrift stores. I've gotten lucky before. Should have bought a few more.
