Favorite frosted cookies

I was debating whether to make the frosted sugar cookies this year. L's not home, E said it was up to me but B ... he gave me that look of impending disappointment so I made them Sunday morning.
Cooling and waiting to be frosted. The dough has to chill before being rolled and cut out and frosting them with all the different colors takes a lot of time.
Where are my helpers? B still knows his job - putting the silver dragee on each bell. He's moving dowtown in January so next year I guess I'll have to summon him home.
They take awhile to dry before I can put them in a tin. You know it's Christmas when the almond extract is opened and the end result is worth it!
