L had her first band concert of the school year last night at the high school. Since it was late by time we left the concert (and since I didn't have any dinner planned) we headed to our local Mexican restaurant for dinner. The restaurant was having a "family night" celebration and brought in a balloon artist. When we arrived, the hostess told us the balloon artist was eating his dinner (he was only scheduled to work from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and we were there later), but that he'd make L something when he was done. A while later, he came over and presented her with a cool balloon monkey - just what she was hoping for.
