E came home from school with her driver's permit today. She starts driver's ed next semester, but has to hold the permit for at least nine months before being able to get her license. She was so eager to have the permit in her hands that she went to the driver's ed department head and asked how to get the permit early and took the test last month. Andy took her driving around the block after dinner. It was dark and she ran up on the curb twice. It all takes practice.
