Today was the third Sunday of Advent so we lit candles of love in church today. I was given a candle to light and place in the sand during the service. (Andy did one last week). He took this cool picture of the candles and the congregation as the service was coming to an end.
After church Andy and I went to our friend L's annual Swedish smorgasbord open house. Here she is singing "Santa Lucia." Always a good party and nice way to kick off the holiday party season.
Look took two of her friends, T and N, to the youth group party. Here's the whole gang. And later that night, I got an email from our youth pastor:
I just both want you to know how absolutely awesome your daughter is. She was so gracious with the younger kids tonight and as always, her friends are thoughtful and delightful. I know how challenging parenting can be and wanted to just let you know how wonderful she is because that is at least partially due to how you allowed her to grow up.
