Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival
I think we've been to Epcot during the Food and Wine Festival in the past (this year it's Aug. 28-Nov. 22) but Monday night was the first time we actually bought food from some of the booths for our dinner. Surprisingly, the crowds were pretty light so none of the lines was very long.
Our first stop was the Brew-Wing Lab at Odyssey. It was a Muppets-themed place.
We got the Garlic Parmesan Wings. We had five in the order and they were kind of over-cooked. One was inedible. On to our next stop ...
in Canada where I got the Filet Mignon with mushrooms and mashed potatoes with Boursin cheese. Much better than the wings.
It was hot so we sat at England in our favorite beer garden and watched all the people pass by.
As we were walking away, we stopped to hear a band perform some '80s songs from UK bands.
At the German pavilion, Andy got a brat. Right next to it was the Alps booth so I got a Raclette Swiss Cheese (very pungent) and Ham with some bread slices. We shared those.
All of the countries had a little booth with the menu out front and pictures of the food. None of the portions was big, but that's the idea, to sample a lot of different foods.
And we had to get a flan at the Mexico booth. A delicious ending to the evening.
Spaceship Earth as we were leaving the park.
