The church's soiree is over and the committee decided it was an incredible success so we treated ourselves and our husbands to a fancy dinner out. We met at
Hemmingway's Bistro (yes, they spell the name with two M's which drives me a little batty). Andy and I have never been there before but we had heard it was good.
There was a lot of seafood on the menu. Andy and I both had the Grilled Steak Frites, mine was medium, his medium rare. Both cooked perfectly and quite good.
We split a Creme Brulee for dessert and I had a bit of my friend's Souffle.
The "after" table. Three bottles of red wine, seven entrees, four desserts. With a tip, $683 for a lovely night out with friends, food and conversation. We joked that we would do it again in 50 years.
